With $1 billion apiece, I think Dean and I could split amicably! Not that I want to beloved!

If you do, may I use one of the jets for a few weekends?

Just think of all the money that they saved in legal fees without all of the "billable hours"?

Several years ago some friends of ours decided that it was time to split up. They worked out how they would split up what was mutual property accumulated during their relatively short marriage and when she went to a lawyer to have her papers drawn up she was told that they would be ready next Friday. On Friday she was told to come back mid-week. Then she was told to come back Friday. When she did, it seemed that her lawyer had spent the time contacting his lawyer trying to "stir the pot". He told her that "he had decided that it was not in her best interest". She reminded him that he was forgetting one thing: that she was the customer. Walked out and had another lawyer drawer up the papers in a couple of hours.

As the old saying goes: One lawyer in a town can not make a living, it takes two of them.

Got to give them credit. If this was a team effort, that's the way it should be.

Sorry, I've already promised the jet to my girl friend Margaret.

Actually, that's pretty much what my ex and I did. Wrote up a separation agreement and had our lawyer make it formal. Then I went on my merry way. Not with a billion, though. I'm always amazed at what people find to fight over. But, then again, it's not about the stuff, it's about control and revenge. Certainly found this out in the +1's divorce proceedings.

Beth and I agreed that it would be better to stay together than to try and split up our estate which has an estimated value of $28.37

Yeah, splitting up that odd penny can really eat up lawyers fees.....

So I guess asking you for a loan so that I can get an S of my very own is out of the question?
