Although I would MUCH rather have one of the several high-quality 289 FIA replicas on the market I do applaud Ford for this effort. WAY the hell better than the unfortunate Olds-powered Shelby I will say. Given Ford's recent tendencies in the revisitation of past designs (T-Bird, Ford GT, 2005 Mustang) the possibility of this being built is pretty good.

Of course the wish list would include a base price under $40K as well but that has GOTTA be out of the question. And I predict the usual land-rush to buy them when and if they happen. Witness the over-$500K bid for an early GT at Monterey last summer. For a car with an MSRP of "only" $150K.
