Default Coffee mug

Drinking coffee this morning, I'm looking at the mug and remembering a visit to Canada once a long time ago that it reminds me of. I tend to buy a coffee mug sometimes on travels as a useable souvenir. Here is this one - it still has hot coffee in it. .

It would be fun to see a favorite mug that you use for coffee - or something stronger. Maybe I'll even post another one later.

My BADASS coffee mug is my favorite. Got several in Naples, Fla. where we vacation in winter. The name was derived from the donkeys who carry enormous loads of bagged coffee beans in Hawaii. There is a pic of a donkey on the cup carrying the bags. Plus the cup is big and I love coffee. Fltfisher probably has one as his store is on the same block.

I like your mug, Jim. I'd buy that one.

I go for big mugs that hold a lot of coffee. No need to get up and refill the cup when I'm on my computer, like I am now.

My favorite mug was one from Ken's Asheville, North Carolina Spring Fling in May 2011. I was puking my guts out on the ride up to Mount Mitchell and I didn't eat when we got to the restaurant but I did get a mug. That mug has a crack in it so I quit using it and took it to my 5th wheel in Kennedy Meadows. I'm now using two zoo mugs. With a zookeeper daughter, I go to lots of zoos now days.

^My look seems to say, I know I'm going to get sick. Poor Paul. At least he pulled over quickly so I didn't mess up his car.

^My zebra mug is being used the most now days. The stuff on the side is cinnamon which I always use in my coffee.

I’m keen on mugs. Each one that has a graphic design also carries a special memory. I have favorite or two based upon their design, shape, wall thickness and handle size. Like you, Patty, they must be able to hold a generous amount, but they must also be comfortable, have a good balance and keep the contents hot, too. Oddly enough my favorite is the smallest; it has no design, and looks boring.

If I had a mug, it would look like this:

Not a coffee or tea drinker....Diet Coke is where I get my morning caffeine.

I have a pair of old grungy plastic (thermo?) brown coffee cups that I have used for - pick a number - 25, 30, 35 years. I use one or both every day. I take them when we travel on fishing trips, etc. These two cups help to leave room for the +1 cups. She has cups with horses, dogs, birds, grandkids, more horses, more birds, etc..... two or more shelves of coffee cups. Makes no sense at all to me. Drum roll, here is my special cup. It just holds coffee and doesn't get cold too soon.

PS: You can drop it, throw it, float it, and even wash it if you want to.

Ha ha. Very practical approach! I like. But as an artist you gotta know that +1's aesthetics does not have any requirement to make sense.

I have a few, but there is still room on the mug shelf. This one I use a lot. My daughter gave it to me a couple of years ago. It holds a lot of coffee.

This one is new. My son brought it to me.

And this one I have used for 30+ years. I like the moose(s) !!

Those are really cool Jim. I do have one with the three grandkids I like but it stores essential items like a nail file, nail clippers, other critical items to survival.

Yep, Asheville was fun. I remember your problems with hurling on the ride up Mount Mitchell. Ugh.
Do you hang the Ellliptigo travel mug on your Elliptigo mug bracket?
