For those of you who haven't seen it yet [and are remotely interested] Comet 17P/Holmes is worth a look. It's the brightest comet that's been around in quite a while and those with good eyesight can see it naked eye. With binoculars it's easily seen.
Looking toward the North East right now it's almost directly overhead at about 11PM EDT on the East Coast.
Some say it portends the election of Hillary; others the end of the world as we know it. Others argue that that is the same event. A small group think that it signifies that Bass is going to quit smoking.

I thought the end of the world is coming on 12/21/2012 (per the Mayans' predictions) and as far as Bass' habits, I have no clue.

Not from the Seattle area in late fall. All we see is overcast.
All I can imagine now is a twisted scene from Dennis Leary's comedy. Bass still smoking with a trach and a voice box and cat's running around with their own voice boxes.
