Computer Gremlins?
I think I have some kind of DSL/computer gremlins at my office.
Many afternoons, at 3:50 (almost to the minute) I notice my internet connection goes down. The boss and I share a network and he doesn't seem to have a problem.
If I reboot the computer I'm good to go again, but sometimes I don't bother as it's almost quitting time...
There is no surge, the computer doesn't blink, but the internet takes a coffee break.
Anyone ever hear of such a thing?

Its probably the swicth back at the telephone company. I had that issue 2 years ago it was a computer glitch on there side. Good thing I have a friend who works for verizon as without his persistence in tracking it down Id prob still have the same problem.
wait a minute your boss does not have the same issues....hmmm

Dean, a long time ago a friend told me that women do not belch, fart, or snore, therefore they MUST bitch, otherwise they would explode.

Good grief. Stock market, HMOs, doctors, now computers. Is there no end to your bitching?

Edit: Someone must bring these issues into the light. I can't be the only one dealing with this
from all sides.

I wonder if anti-virus software on your machine is trying to download a new signature file on a schedule every day at that time.
Other things to check:
Do other things start running more slowly on your PC at this time each day?
Have you looked at the event log on your PC to see if anything shows up every day at the appointed hour? That might provide a clue.

observation #1. that tells me how much your boss connects to the outside world. He must not be surfing s2ki.
