Coolness is sitting at a stoplight and having thirty vintage Corvettes give you the as they pass in front going on a drive.

When I got my first S, the first drive I went on (didn't know about S2Ki yet) was with the DC Porsche Club - some friends were members. The S was a pretty new car then and there weren't many around. It got lots of attention!

Last night I walked up on a lady that was looking my S over. She had never seen one and wondered if it was a 2010 model. Coolness is telling her it was 7 years old!

Same thing happened to me in 1983, except it was with my 1973 Mustang convertible.

Guess I keep my cars up better then the average owner.

Similar story here: On the way down to the Wintergreen Spring Fling, Virginija and I stopped at a post office in Berkeley Springs. I watched a little old lady S-L-O-W-L-Y back her car in, right next to the S. As she got out, she said to me "I was careful to not hurt your new car". I smiled as I told her it was 6 years old, but thanks for being careful.

At the Lake George meet last year, we stopped into a gas station and some guy in a truck wondered where all the Porsche's came from.

Coolness is pulling into a gas station and having the owner of the Porsche 997 at the pump in front of you spend the entire time gushing over your car

Coolness is stopping at a scenic overlook and meeting Jacques Villeneuve who happens to be vacationing nearby and having him ask if you would mind if he tried out your S (with you riding shotgun of course).

If it ever happens to me I'll be sure to post a note here.
