Default Credit Cards

I just picked up my mail and found out that I'm one of the lucky ones who are being invited to sign up for a new Visa card being offered by Barclays. They say it is being offered to only 1% of US residents and it offers 24 hour Concierge Service, a rewards program and 'Luxury' Gifts.

Sounds special doesn't it.

The annual fee for this is only $495, and each addiitonal authorized user is only $195.

What a deal!!!!!

I'll keep my Citi World card. No fee and I've already gotten an Eliptical and several other items.

Jim- I got an invite for an AMEX rewards card, which sounded pretty good...until I noticed the 75 fee after the first year or so!

I'll keep my Chase Rewards card/no fee (I like getting those 50 checks every couple months-1% on everything sounds small but mounts up) and my AAA card/ no fee (3% back on all gas purchases.....was great on my trip to MT last year with 4 buck gas).

Get ready for annual fees to come back into fashion on credit cards.

I got a Hess Visa card last summer. Got 10% off my gas purchases for 90 days, right when they were at their highest.

After that, it dropped to 5% off.

Last week they informed me it is now 3% off. I guess the honeymoon is over.

I have the AAA card that gives me 3% "at participating retailers".
I get the 3% filling the wife's car at Quik Trip, but no deal filling mine at the Sunoco.

OK

I have a citibank platinum master card. After reading this, I called them and told them I wanted a better rate.

They said I have their best rate. So I did an internet search and tried to beat it and couldn't. It's a no fees and cash back card.

Is that the citibank card that gives you a 1/2% rebate on everything?
