Default Cross Country Question

Hey everybody, (except the guy selling one right now )

I'm driving from LA to Beavercreek, OH next week in my new (to me!) S2K. For a long haul like that do you cover your front or go commando? Opinions?

Thanks!

I drove from So Cal to Ohio in July 2005. No cover. I do have lots of rock chips.

Last summer I drove Cali to Coloradao. The worst thing I got was a big rock in the windshield in Colorado. Had to get a new windshield once I got home.

You could do painter's tape.
I'd personally do a thick coat of wax and a car bra.

Is LA Los Angeles or Louisiana?

Los Angeles.... well Westlake Village to be exact. I want to get a bra now, but I haven't done any research to figure out ewhich is the best one. I'll start with Honda I guess, and then surf the aftermarket tonight.

Any suggestions on a brand?

When we drove cross-country (Santa Fe to here in Boca) in September, 2005, the best thing I did was to put in the GrillCraft insert (I just used black zip-ties instead of taking the bumper off to do the real install). It did a great job of filtering out the giant grasshoppers west of Witchita and the butterflies to the east -- at every gas stop, I cleaned off layers of dead bugs that would have otherwise wound up farther back in the engine compartment somewhere. LeBra made a great name for themselves in the 80's coming out with the first breathable bra's. I used them on my Saab turbo's and was quite pleased.
