I didn't mean to post all that crap. I keep thinking I'm previewing a post and then I find out it got posted.

Yes, that's the candy store I pointed out in Estes Park on Saturday, Aug. 11th. The bear went in and out of the store on Tuesday, the 7th, I think. I was at my sister's in Falcon when it hit the news and she said they always go there for candy.

No bears in my 'hood. You can keep them, Jerry.
Why..... great things to watch along with the chickadees!
Our yard isn't big enough for a bear, but I've seen a couple chickadees recently.

and yet there is a sculpture in the garden of....?

There are two in Estes Park. One was across the street from where we were.

We have bear near our house. The bear even has his/her own crossing sign at my corner. Although I don't know why, I'm pretty sure the bear can't read.

We had the Cape Cod bear. He loved cities and towns and even swam across the cape cod canal for some summer relaxation. The authorities kept tranking him and sending him out to the western part of the state, but he kept coming back to populated areas. Then they found him in a tree in Brookline, MA and tranked him again and he fell about 80 feet to the ground. The so called authorities said he would fine. I doubt it.

None here, either. I think the gators got 'em all.

On an unrelated wildlife note, we had about 20,000 nutria wash up on Hancock County beaches following Isaac. It doesn't smell so good over in Bay St. Louis. (Nutria = giant rats sort of.)
