I was out waxing my RAV4 and realized that I haven't seen Dave post in ages. Where is Dave?

 

Mmmm....maybe on a fishing trip? I think he said something about going.

 

I just checked...the last time he posted on S2KI and S2KCA was August 3.

I know I wonder about those who generally post often and then totally disappear. I still haven't gotten over Anarky's disappearance.

 

Dave went to the Mid Ohio Indy race. So did a bunch of our friends from Ohio.

Val, Jerry (east coast) once told me he had Anarky's email.

 

Thanks for asking. I really messed up! Had to have an emergency hip replacement.

I made it MidOhio on Friday but had a accident early Saturday morning. I fell from the top step on the motorhome stairs - misjudged the width of the stairs in the dark. The motorhome was parked at a very steep angle and had lots of boards under it to level it, so it was a fall of about 3'.

I landed on my left hip and broke the ball off. Went into surgery Saturday afternoon where they replaced it with a steel one. The rest of my summer is pretty well shot. I'm in rehab at a hospital in Mansfield, OH. I hope to be good enough to be able to get in a car to go home sometime next week. Typical rehab is 2-3 months.

I do not have access to any internet... the rehab center let me use their office pc for a few minutes.

What a bummer, Dave! That's fast. I hope the rehab goes well. But you can't keep us old codgers down for long! Get well soon! Dayum, I hope Colorado is still in!
