The President and First Lady have been performing nestoration on their aerie in the sky in prep for a new season! Eaglets should appear sometime in March.

No need to wait till March. Go to the FL camera right now. The first little guy hatched December 26th and the second the next day. So they are both less than a week old. Wife watches them everyday.

^ I like how they report on what is going on and what food has been brought to the nest. Today is some fish and a rabbit!

 

Eagle fishing in the pond yesterday behind my daughter's house in Jacksonville area. She has several short video's of it back there.

 

One egg from the eagle pair Liberty and Justice (eaglecam.org) has hatched...here is the video:


For whatever reason, the President and First Lady (dceaglecam.org), the other eagle pair here, have not produced an egg this year. They had two last year. Not sure what is happening.

Liberty and Justice eaglets are doing well. There was some concern that The President and First Lady would not nest this year, but I see she is finally on the nest, so hopeful there are some eggs in there!

EDIT - I see from the website that two eggs were hatched, one on Mar 25 and the other on Mar 28. Kinda late but still good!

Just saw pics of a pair of eagles nesting in the neighborhood! Right off the GW Pkwy close to Rosslyn. They have three eaglets in the nest. But no eaglecam to watch them all the time.

 

We too live on water, a creek. We see them on a regular basis, caught a fleeting glimpse on Sat. morning, as it caught its breakfast.
