Missed it as well. I'll shamefully admit, I immediately tried looking for a rip, but I couldn't...yet.

I second Firefly. I've re-watched that series so many times. Fox definitely didn't get it. They gave it the death slot from the get go as well. Friday at 9pm was it?

I haven't seen TNG in awhile, but I thought it was pretty good, too. Season 1 was pretty horrible last I saw it though. "Conference call!" Anytime they have to make a decision, everyone gets up, and walks into another room, talks, and then goes back to the bridge. And then the gallium arsenide life forms...

All of B5 is on Hulu now. I rewatched it this year. Still holds its own, although I admittedly skipped all the eps I felt were filler.

I take exception to that. Next Generation was excellent.

I enjoyed Firefly and watched it on CD over the course of a weekend. The movie was good, but I think I liked the series better.
I loved Next Generation. Couldn't stand Captain Kirk though, in the original.

...I have no idea what Firefly is.

Only the first two seasons, as far as I can see.

^^ I agree that Eureka is fun to watch and I've liked Warehouse 13 and am curious to see where it goes. I loved Firefly as well and bought the series. I liked the Highlander movies, but only watched a few epis of the series.

A classic, along with Farscape and DS9, some of my favorites.

I really like Warehouse 13 so far, but it's only been a few weeks. My lovely +1 likes sanctuary.

The series was better than the movies. (The first season was a little weak, and the sixth season was unwatchable, but 2-4 were great and 5 was OK.)

Once again, I agree with you. I also like Sanctuary and my handsome and precious +1 does as well. I'm looking forward to the resumption of new programming. I realllllllly liked STNG, I liked Star Trek Enterprise, DS9 and I liked Babylon 5. I've enjoyed that Fox series FRINGE too. Its kind of "out there" in a way, but is intriguing. Whenever I feel the need for mind dope, I try to find some scifi for my little escapes from thinking.

Yeah, Mike... Firefly was absolutely mishandled. Going for a kinder, gentler opening episode, moving the time slot and rearranging the episodes all contributed to the low ratings. But I always thought that even had the show been properly handled the audience would take a while to grow. The history of network TV is full of examples of shows that did poorly in their first season but went on to become highly successful. To me, FOX's greatest sin was killing the show before its time.

(I thought The Train Job was pretty good for a get-to-know-them opening episode but of course the original pilot was better)

Anyway, much as it pains me to admit it we pretty much agree completely.
