Not sure if anyone has been watching Long Lost Family, the show about people looking for lost relatives usually related to their having been adopted. It's a great show, pretty much a tearjerker every week. But it certainly makes me appreciate my mother and dad even more than I already did.

Can't be much more disturbing than Black Mirror or A Handmaiden's Tale.

Just finished Wild, Wild Country, the critically well received Netflix documentary series about the takeover of the town of Antelope and much of Wasco County, Oregon in the 1980s by the followers of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, the Indian guru who owned a dozen or more Rolls Royces and who built a financial empire as a spiritual philosopher. This is a nicely balanced look in deep detail at the often dramatic story, with extensive interviews of many of the key figures in the conflict between the commune (and briefly incorporated city) of Ragneeshpuram.

May have been discussed already but I just finished binge watching Turn: Washington's Spies on Netflix. (Originally the series aired on AMC)
Enjoyed it very much. It is well done historical fiction. Now I have to do some research to see how much of it was fact-based.
Edit: Just ordered Alexander Rose's non-fiction "Washington's Spies" upon which the AMC series was based.

Will probably next take up Altered Carbon.

I found an interesting show - United Shades of America w/W Kamau Bell. It's informative and enlightening.

You will laugh but even Donna enjoys watching Forged in Fire. We've been watching it now for a couple of years. They seem to be running out of really knowledgeable contestants but its as close to a reality show that we can enjoy without turning it off in 2 minutes.

One of our long standing favorites to record is Blue Bloods, and its been renewed again - something like season 12 I think.

Donna's favorite is Heartland. At one point she had 50 recorded shows stored on the X1 box. If you were wondering its a really long running Canadian show about, what else, a horse farm.

I will miss Riggs on Leathal Weapon. Its really a dumb cop comedy that we watched but he was fired for being a ________ on the set.

I was looking up what's coming in the fall and a show that looked pretty good in the trailer was God Friended Me.

You need to see the episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden where he does Carpool Karaoke with Paul McCartney. It's great!

So I had never selected YouTube on our smart TV, although I watch a lot of videos on the computer. Decided to check it out tonight. That bit of fun was on the first page to come up on YouTube (on the TV). It was fantastic. I second Deb's recommendation, and now you know where you can find it. Just don't let the corny opening put you off.

Hey, Deb. Sandy emailed me about the latest Fresh Air podcast. The Late Late Night bit with Paul is not the main topic but it is discussed with TV critic David Bianculli, who raves about it. Thought it might be of interest.
