Does anyone understand the Lexus IS-C commercials?
It's driving me nuts (no pun intended). Our local TV is practically showing the new Lexus IS-C commercials non-stop and I don't understand them at all. I have seen three different versions: The first one shows a guy running bare-foot and jumps in the car (always top down, of course) and drives away while an angry mob runs after him. The second one shows a guy driving on a bridge, passes a girl running on the side, and catches up to another girl also running; he stops and the girl jumps in the car. The third shows a girl (could have been a couple) parked on the side of a hill, a helicopter rises up in front of the car with a search light and the car speeds away.
I just don't understand any of these commercials, what are they trying to tell the audience? Here is a link to one of the commercials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBSXUXvJqGs

^^ I think the Lexus IS-C commercials are lame. They never really show the car in any detail. Isn't that what they're trying to sell? However, after seeing a couple of them at a recent Cars & Coffee show, I can see why they're not focusing on the car. IMO it's fugly, and looks like an upscale Chrysler Sebring convertible.
They're "lifestyle" commercials.
And if you are too much of a
to get them I probably can't explain 'em to you.
Well...that plus the fact that I don't get 'em either. I keep waiting for the one commercial that will tie them together so the story makes sense.
