What do you think his reply is?
My 17 year-old son asks me to drive my van and not the S, when I am taking him somewhere. He says it's too small and my driving makes him hurl.

I've always named the vehicles I've owned. Some of the more endearing terms I've used for them (when broken down on the side of the road) are not suitable for this forum.

They may not have brains but they do seem to have personalities and love practical jokes.

[QUOTE=tidalwdave,May 3 2006, 09:51 PM] , mine is just, "The S" or "Spa".....It's just a car....I don't get very attached or emotional to a car.

Mine used to be called the baby...Now it's called the tempermental bitch...

Kinda funny since she started Berlina and now is a bleached blonde with highlights. Also, she really didn't appreciate the plastic surgery I call the turbo. Since then, with the new brain we transplanted in her, she's been much better.

Since I replaced all the "H"s on my car with Rick's "S" badges, I've named her "Bubble the Snail."

When people comment on naming a sports car a "snail" I point out that it's appropriate since when people see it pass they exclaim:

"Look at that S-car-go!" (for those not yet getting the joke... escargot...?)

I know... it's in my sig. I just thought I'd explain.

All my S2ks have had names:

The Silverstone was and is the "Grey Ghost"
The Berlina was lovingly know as "Lester the Rhino"
and the Suzuka was simply "Lady Blue" (I didn't have it long, or I'd have come up with something better)

What is this need I/we have for adding personality to an inanimate object?
