Default Drive your kitty crazy

Dawn picked up a laser mouse at the supermarket pet department last week on impulse while shopping. WOW! Three dollars and our cat has become obsessed! She has never reacted to a toy the way she has to this. She can be curled up sound asleep and if I so much as touch it on the end table she's up and riveting me with her gaze. Anyone else tried one of these? I've seen them mentioned on Catster.com by several people.

Can't say we tried that one. Our cat is pretty lazy. On occasion, she plays with the plastic ring from a gallon of milk.

Cat toys on the cheap. Perfect for anyone who is frugal.

Yes, I've got one. My cat, Zoro, is just about blind so he can't see it. The other cat chases it a bit. It's more fun when my son visits and brings his cats. They are both under 2 years old and they are fun to watch.

The ring from the milk jug is popular here too Lainey.

My Zoro used to steal those off the kitchen counter. I looked under the oven one day and found his mother lode.

Cats like things that make noise. Give them a cap from a Bic pen in a bathtub or a wiffle golf ball on a tile floor and see how much fun they have. The Bic cap in the bathtub will keep a cat happy for most of the night.

i use an IR thermometer with a laser pointer to check the temps on my wood stove. the gun will beep when i pull the trigger and my male cat goes nuts. so i have to be careful with the gun or my cat will jump on the stove

for some reason, i always felt bad for my cats when using a pointer because they never are able to catch the dot -

i guess the good news is that they have plenty of small animals (mice, bunnies, moles etc etc) in my neck of the woods to keep them on the hunt
