Good choice. Trek is the best. I prefer a non-electric bike. I get a better work out. I just like getting outdoors. Good stress reliever. Enjoy your rides.
Me, too. I ride for exercise, number one, and fun, number two. The e-bikes still have the fun factor, though, with a tad of exercise. My sister is at least getting some fun exercise in.

I like the exercise too but the knees don't!

No deals. Take it or leave it as supplies are running short. Trek doesn't even have them on their website!
This was our 2020 travel money that Covid saved us!
I love my ebike. Over the last winter I sold my old training bike from when I used to race in the '70's and '80's, a vintage Bianchi SL frame with full Campagnolo Super Record drive and brake systems, to a local shop. The shop owner convinced me to try one of the ebikes in his shop and I really enjoyed it but did not want to spend $5K on something that I was not certain to love. I did wind up getting one online for a little more than $1K and I now wonder if I should have stepped up to a better grade because I just love it. I got a 350 watt hub drive, (mid drive is considered superior) which turned out to be adequate since I'm such a little guy.
There are 5 levels of assist and I get a good workout at either level 1 or 2. At level 5, it will maintain 25mph. The battery is supposed to give you 20 miles of range with pedal assist. However, I've gone as far as 40 miles with battery left to spare. Maybe I got one of the rare "elites" off of the production line. I put a batter operated wifi rear view camera sends video to my iPhone when mounted onto the handle bar and back that up with a rear view mirror. I have absolutely no faith in the attention level of the average driver.
Summing up, I love it and would do it again in a New York heartbeat.

!
It's a WiFi backup camera for a car that I bought off of eBay. I made a 12v hookup to a power tool battery and a mounting bracket to affix it to the rear carrier bag. The battery and wiring are just stuffed into the rear carrier bag. You may be able to see the camera sticking out from the top-rear of the carrier bag on the photo, above.
