EPIC campus
I've known a few people to work there.
They got 'good' degrees from 'good' schools, got a job there that paid very well and were worked to the bone. Most left within a year or two to take a job that wasn't trying to own 100% of their lives.
They were replaced by people like them who will be worked to the bone & repeat the cycle.

Epic is one of the big three in hospital automation, along with Cerner and Allscripts. They all support the features touted in this video, although not all providers implement all such features.
We visited the Epic campus when we were selecting a vendor to replace McKesson. We went with Cerner. Not only does Epic try to own 100% of its employees' lives, they also want you conform your hospital processes and procedures to their system. Any non-standard build decisions must be requested in writing by the customer's CEO. AllScripts and McKesson are far more flexible in allowing you to adapt their software to the way your hospital works.
As the medical records systems administrator at Memorial Hospital, I got to know all these players pretty well. McKesson used to be one of the big players but they sold their entire software business to Allscripts.
I enjoyed the story on CBS Sunday about the young dog lover.

Mike, I am curious what Company you would pick if things like costs, conformity, etc. were not factors. Say you had a clean sheet of paper hospital that you planned to build. One of the reasons I ask is I can't think of any hospital in the country with recognition any higher than Mayo. Not that I follow that stuff; and, I do know Cleveland Clinic is at or near the top in heart surgeries.
It turns out my son interviewed with them coming out of school.
He is a really smart kid with a BS and MS from RIT.
I asked him last night if that was who he had interviewed with.
yes it was and if anyone calls looking for him I request you laugh heartily at them and tell them "absolutely not!"
well that could be why the average age is only 28.
Leadership and minions.

One of my stepsons worked there. He quit after less that a year. The place was a pressure cooker to work in. It was a 24 hour a day job with the company phone with you continuously.
Strangely, he was a mechanical engineering major and they hired him for software.
According to him their turnover is huge!!!
