Where to hold events and how frequently has been a subject for debate for as long as I have been on this board. I've seen it with Fall Colors and it still is debated today.

Everyone loves to meet people from far away since they don't get many opportunities to see them. This was true for me when I went to the event in Lake George. I got to meet people like Patty, Matt, Phil, Dennis, etc......

Should there be more events held in different parts of the country? One of the fears is that people will only attend "Local" events.

Will having more frequent events in regional areas cause splintering of the group?

Jim,

I don't know that having three events a year, The Spring Fling, The Vintage Gathering and The Ohio Buckeye, should be considered too many. One in the spring, one in the fall and one in the summer.

I think the events should be held in different locations each time for two reasons. First, there are simply too many interesting things to see and secondly, everyone should get the chance to be near the event. The same people shouldn't have to do the 10 hour drives all of the time.

So far I think that this has worked pretty well. Everyone seems to have a good time at the events, and because the locations change, we get new people at each one. I think the formula is a good one.

Rob,

I'm not sugg. that 3 events is too many, too few or the right number.

I also agree that the same people should not have to drive 10 hours all of the time.

I agree - let's move them around! So, where should we hold the Buckeye run next year?

For myself, about 8 hours drive is the limit for most occasions. With a 3 year old that we don't want to be away from, that's the high end for a long weekend. Of course, as she gets older, that limit may be raised, but not for a while.

My opinion has been expressed previously. I'll go anywhere, I just don't want to keep going to the same place. We have been to Lake George and this spring we will be at Watkins Glenn. I would give upstate NY a rest after that. This year, I will try to go to the Buckeye Run to see Ohio. I will probably go to Fall Colors '06 if it fits my schedule.

For future Vintage meets, I would like to see us go to the Mid Atlantic states. Maryland, Delaware or Virginia would be a nice change.

This year, New England plans to hold a very large, weekend long event in Connecticut. The event is in the planning stage and we will be releasing details soon. If the Vintage community is interested in this event, and I think it will be, I will try to arrange a Vintage hospitality suite. For most of you, the trip will be no longer than it took to go to Lake George. For many it will be shorter.

Jim,

I think we should have a meet at Yankee stadium. There's plenty of parking as of today.

Bill,

About what time of the year is the New England Group planning on having the meet?

Are you sure that you want to park your S anywhere in the Bronx?

Rob, we don't have an answer to this yet. Our community leader is hoping to get a few folks together to get the ball rolling soon.

OK. Just keep us informed. This is an event that I want to be at.
