After a decade the thirteen year old design of my AP1 still puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. With over 118K short of changing the fluids, I have had to replace the rear license plate bulb.

Good find! It is and always was a race car for the road and these guys nailed it - Honda screwed up when they went off course.

I almost posted that video last night after seeing it on facebook. If I had posted it my thread title would have included S2000 in it. I hope people see the thread title and look at the thread and then watch the video.

The video makes me realize why I'm so attached to my S and why I'm breaking my own rule about selling my car when it hits 100,000. It's just too much fun to let go.

Yeah, I saw that and wrote on the site that "The comment about Honda losing its performance car heritage is very true and can be traced to the retirement of Shigeru Uehara, who was chief architect for the NSX, the RSX type R, and the S2000. He had the moxie to tell the company accountants to take a hike, and could dictate to the board of directors. It takes a strong visionary like that or his mentor Suchioro Honda to produce a sweet machine like the S2000."
