Probably only a couple people even know what that is but still, I got'a post.....

I watched the first 30 laps before heading to an all British car show (small, only 120 cars). Just finished watching the race. The F1 season has been great this year and it did not have to 'rain' every race for me to enjoy it. BUT, the best shot of the the weekend was when Alonso picked up a tv camera and showed just how many fans were at the closing!!! OMG, why can't American's appreciate road racing like that.

He was pandering to the crowds.
Alonso is smart enough to know where his next paycheck comes from.

I'd love to go to an F1 race over here. My wallet disagrees vehemently however.

As an avid (perhaps rapid) Formula One fan (that has stayed up or woken up to watch the live timing during the races) I could not agree more. The 2012 season has the been the best season in memory.

Regarding the comments about Alonso. I think that it is VERY interesting to see the change in his demeanor from the 2011 season to the 2012 season. I can not help but wonder if he (or the team) hired a psychologist to "handle him" for this season. The change in his demeanor has been quite remarkable in my opinion.

I still worry about the fate of Massa. Therefore, I was happy to see his result even after perhaps giving up a spot to Alonso (again).

BTW, Does anyone plan on going to the US F1 Race in Austin in November? We have been talking about it but have not made plans yet.

for one, he's winning or at least competitive.
and two there's a huge difference between him and his support guy. so his fragile ego isn't being challenged like it was at McLaren.

I like F1, but I get soured on it every couple of years because of the technical politics that often set the stage for the whole season. I think Bernie changes the playing field too much.

I'm a huge F1 fan, and this has been a great season
My single biggest complaint is the random feeling I get from so many of the stewards rulings
The same infraction rarely gets the same penalty and I have a huge problem with that

I bought general admission. This is my 60th bday present, and I could not get myself to spend the kind of money they wanted for a seating license.
