Rainy and cold today. Put the car away for the season.
A few nice days left, but too sporadic. Time to give the old Volvo the good garage space and store the convertible. Mourning.
Spent Sunday at the last regatta of the season, the Head of the Elk in Elkhart, IN, while others were at Fall Colors. Inspired by the many pictures and faces now associated with names, here are a few images from last weekend. the first is daughter's boat winning its race; the second is daughter with prouddad.

Are you really putting the S away for the winter?
Yeah. It may be a bit early, but those tires are pretty slick on cold, wet pavement. Of course the putting it away part is pretty easy to reverse, if the weather takes a good turn
I must be more anal than you. I have this two page list of steps in preparing for winter storage that includes things like pulling the plugs and spraying oil fogger into the cylinders, pumping up the tires to 40 psi, placing Bounce strips at critical "mouse entries", removing the battery, etc. When it's put away, I don't think I would "undo" that too quickly.
That being said, I haven't put it away for the winter yet. We're supposed to have a nice weekend with temps in the 60's so I hope to get a couple more days of top down driving.
Out here in D.C. today and tomorrow. What a difference from the frigid north! We'd still be driving.
The storage prep I did was maybe 10 steps, including tire pressure, but not including fogging the cylinders. Didn't try the Bounce strips, but did disconnect the battery
