Default First drive 2010

Get out of my way.

I'd almost forgotten how much fun it can be. Just got back from scaring birds, chickens, squirrels, little old ladies, and a few farmers. It was great to be behind the wheel of the S2000 after a long winter!! The sun wasn't out, the roads still had some crude on them, but it didn't matter. Still in the 40s, so just had the windows down and my blood pumping to keep me warm as I blasted around for a couple hours down some roads that I never traveled before and wasn't even sure if I was going east, north, sourth or what. Love it.

In a day or two I can drop the top as a heat wave is forecasted.

Dave. Sounds like a fun day!

Hope we'll be doing the same thing come Sunday.

I miss this style tonneau cover.

unzip the driver side of the cover but the remainder stayed up keeping the interior warm.

....The issue at the end of the day is that the rear of the passenger compartment is far to high to keep water from being drained into the dash.

We looked at a series of V-shaped dams and drains but nothing really worked nor looked acceptable.
I can see that problem, but "rain" wouldn't be an issue if used for "early season" topdown driving....
....but I guess that wouldn't be worth the cost.

Glad you had fun! I'm not sure when I'm going to drive my car on a longer run. Just mostly around town recently. And it will stay that way for awhile. When I want to go on a local jaunt, I take it down the GW Parkway to Mount Vernon. A wonderful, scenic drive. Not fast, though. Or out to Middleburg and the Snickersville Turnpike, one of my fave roads. Faster there, although it's a narrow little road with lots of blind curves, so have to be careful! Also beautiful roads out in the Shenandoah.
