Aw, I remember all those songs. What was/is it with Joe Cocker, all those movements? Does he have a muscular disease? (I'm serious)

Got my new star today- 5 years....

Happy Birthday!!!

Here is an except from his Rolling Stone Bio:

His trademark antic gesticulations must have caused titters at first, but soon became an invaluable asset of his stage performance. Flailing like a man aflame, Cocker exuded the intensity of a soul possessed by the song. That Cocker managed to transform the Beatles' "With a Little Help from My Friends" into a Gospel-esque romp is one of the minor miracles of rock 'n' roll

I thought he had CP, but I guess not.

Joe just had a little too much booze a little too much dope and an entourage that was so big it almost killed him.

I do -- I think I saw it the first time (i.e., live). And (again, if I recall correctly) Joe's reaction wasn't entirely clear -- was he OK with the imitation, or what? HPH
I saw it the first time live, too. It was pretty funny but I agree, you couldn't tell if Joe was cool with it or not. I suspect he must have been and it was an act to look that way but who knows.

I don't remember if he was scheduled to be on the show or whether he just happened to be in town and thought it might flip out Belushi. That was certainly the way it was "played".

You know, I could never recall seing Joe Cocker perform.

One night I couldn't sleep and got up to channel surf and he was on TV.

I mentioned those spastic movements to Rick the next AM and he told me that Joe Cocker was always like that.

Congrats on your 5 stars.

Belushi was a big fan and they rehearsed that song.

I'm not sure I was allowed to watch that. I might have been too young to hear of such happenings.

Actually I honestly only remember bits of pieces of Woodstock on the news.

I'm going to have to spend some time here:

I was going to run out to Best Buy at lunch time to buy this DVD for $19.99, but, luckily, they didn't have it in stock.

That sent me to Amazon, who had it for $14.99, with free shipping and no sales tax. Gotta love the Internet!
