Bern's used to be one of our customers when I worked for Wang. They also had an early local area network that let the waiters enter orders for distribution to the various sections of the kitchen. Supposedly the owner liked our PC because the keyboard was really light. He used it in bed to work on the notes for the wine list. (Bern's is reported to have the best wine list east of the Mississippi outside of New York City.) We got to tour the place once. It was spotless...You'd be hard pressed to find a surgical suite that was any cleaner.
Tim - I made a reservation for Sun evening at Bern's. Is there a dress code?
Also, I'm not sure how the billing for the Fri dinner is going to work with all of us at one table (which I think is how we will be seated). So, if possible, please bring cash. Thanks.

My understanding is it's paper currency that was developed when it became obvious no one could haul enough coinage around to make a vacation trip.
If I haul around my id, the credit cards everyone wants, the club cards everyone demands, etc., I have no room for paper currency, besides, its germy and nasty. Who knows where its been?
