We have been going out every Friday night for dinner and drinks for as long as I can remember. Often going to two different private clubs in the same night to socialize with local friends. This is the one night of the week where being trapped really registers for us.

 

Can you and Donna do the zoom thing with your friends and have a virtual night out?

 

We could but we have no interest in doing that. Its kinda like FaceBook, I have it and its limited to the immediate family for ease of sharing pictures.

 

Yeah I hear you, you are right it isn't the same hopefully soon enough you will be back to your friday night out.

 

Are you into doing the zoom thing?

 

I guess I'm going to have to dig out something to watch on tv. We always taped Blue Bloods on Friday night.

 

No haven't done it not on facebook either.

 

I did my first Zoom Thing last night with Legal Bill and other S2ki people. I also did a Facebook visual chat a couple of weeks(using my cellphone) ago and a family visual chat with some Google app, or something about 3 weeks ago . The smaller the group the better for communicating, in my opinion, but it is a lot better than nothing. I've felt uplifted each time.

 

Make dinner, open a bottle of wine and listen to some old doowop music. It's not as good as a Friday night out, but it'll bring back nice memories.

 

Friday was never our night out. It's always been Saturday. Friday night was for goofing off and eating which I did tonight.

We are invited to another cul de sac social hour tomorrow. I'm thinking we'll go. The social time last week was good for the soul. We've done a few zoom sessions now and do enjoy them. We have a couple planned next week and I should contact some family members to see if they are ready for another session.
