Even so, this is still a bit early for snow in your part of NE.
I think it's a clear sign that the end is near.

We have no snow, just rain. The snow is up in the higher elevations.
I can't believe the hype this little bit of snow got. Maybe because it's early in the season or the talking heads on the news needed something to talk about besides the boy that wasn't in the balloon yesterday?
We are heading to Sturbridge MA for the Fall Crawl later today. They did have some snow this AM, but it is now cloudy. Tomorrow we expect some dry but chilly (upper 40's) in mid AM early afternoon. We may even see a peek of sun.
Sunday more rain. Dreary weather, but we will have fun with our S2000 pals who braved the weather to join us. There is a trip to a brewery on tap (pun intended), and I'm sure the hotel will be quite cozy and warm.
BTW, next week we'll be back in the 60's Jerry, so don't put those golf clubs or your "toy" away just yet.

We had some flakes this past Saturday up north............ but then there's always been a lot flakes up north.

We'll be going to the U of M football game, along with a Women's basketball game and Women's volleyball game on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sure hope there aren't any flakes up there when we are there!

goblues2k and I lived in Ithaca for about 6 years from 1968 to 1974.
I remember the first snowfall that year was in early November. We had moved to Ithaca from California, and that first snowfall was a real eye-opener to us.
I can remember when goblues2k dropped me off at work (at Cornell) that day, and I walked in there and asked my co-worker, "How do you even walk in this stuff???"
She had grown up in Pennsylvania and she laughed so hard when I asked her that.
After work, we went to downtown Ithaca and bought me some boots, and went to the tire store to get some snow tires on our car.

Patty your S has seen more snow than mine ever has and I live up here in the great white north
