Default Getting Old Sucks

I just came on an old address book listing my two best friends and their home address from my time in the Air Force in the early 60's. Did a Goggle search and found one. His obit; he just died last month. I left a note saying I had several pictures from our days in France if the family is interested. Best I could do. Getting old sucks but it beats the alternative.

Dave, I am sorry for your loss.

Do I recall that you posted the pictures of you and your Air Force buddies?

I'm sure it will mean a lot to your friend's family that you offered them the pictures.

You betcha. We stopped in a "mdi-century modern" furniture store today, and I commented that I must be getting old, since everything looked like it was from my house as a kid. The owner's response was, "At least you can remember it". So I guess I am happy that I am here and that I can remember "telephone tables" and Chrome dinette sets.

Sorry about your loss, Dave. Very nice gesture with the pics!

We're all getting old. I never walked around in spike heels, but I used to wear fancier shoes than I do now. I'm now all about the comfort.

I bought a rather ugly pair of low boots and a pair of shoes today at the Easy Spirit outlet. I think that's where older women shop. The boots look nice and warm, the shoes, low heeled and comfortable. I think I'm an older woman now.

Glad I'm not getting older!

Found the Fountain of Youth last year!

Everyone has a limited number of tomorrows. The alternative to getting older isn't that attractive. I've lived 7 decades so far, but I"m not sure I'd want 7 more.
