Gettysburg meet count down and off topic.
Coming off of my Nor'Easter fix I am lamenting that I will have to wait until October to see most of you again? :-(
I have seen on the other threads that they have strayed off topic so I thought it would be appropriate to start an miscellanenous thread here for idle chat and general mis-behaving as a count down to the Gettysburg run.
Have fun posting.
I think I'm almost ready for another meet. A few nights of hitting the sack early, I'm rested up and ready to roll again!
I love the thought of another meet, but
at the thought of October which means almost time to cover up the "S" for the winter. We won't dwell on that, we'll just look foward to the Gettysburg gathering.
Just one question. Where did the summer go??

I got a gate pass, tonight. I'm coming! Yipee!
Please allow me to show up with a POS rental this time. I need to scrimp on the car rental cost so I won't be drivin' no Mustang convertible this time. I learned at the Nor'Easter that riding shot gun is better than lagging behind in some behemoth.
I'll be making my reservations Saturday. Andy says he would rather be with just me, than all you other wackos and me.
Well, he didn't exactly put it that way, but it comes out about the same. I'll be on my own, again. I told him if I didn't go to this one it would be 9 months without my Vintage fix. He's learned how important you all are to me.

.... we didn't make it 15 miles last night in the Cadillac before she was in pain; in fact, we had to cancel out going to a wedding today because it was a little over an hour away).
So I am 99.9999999999999999% sure I'll have a vacant co-pilot seat.

Sorry to learn that Donna is still having problems with her back. Please give her our regards. Sorry that we will not be seeing her in Gettysburg.

If there's going to be any drives, I'll save you a seat - - and we can finally meet. That's unless my wife's back makes a wonderful recovery (fat chance, we didn't make it 15 miles last night in the Cadillac before she was in pain; in fact, we had to cancel out going to a wedding today because it was a little over an hour away).

I had to pass on the Spring Fling 2005, after my back got unbearably painful, throwing away the prepaid airline tickets for Andy and I. After a couple weeks of major pain killers and ibuprofen, I was up and going again. I did finally quit jogging though.
I do believe I have a chance at riding with Phil (Ruined 2) in his NSX, again, since his girlfriend isn't coming. That thing hauls, and is surprisingly quiet.

That's nice of you, Dave. Thank you. We'll see what happens, and I hope your wife gets better. We do still have 7 weeks and she could make a big recovery.

. I'll need a navigator since I'll probably be the tail-gunner again. And your GPS is always handy as well.
