Default Golf range finder

Any golfers here. I have been looking at range finders as I have a renewed interest in playing golf again. I got some lessons as it has been a while since I played and they are really helping. When I did play in Naples this month with a buddy he used a range finder. He really likes it and said it has helped his game. I am not a good judge of distance and now I know about how far I can hit each club. There is a broad range of pricing from basic to loaded with features. I just want to know the distance to the pin.

I would love to have shoulders that would allow me to swing any club all day. I was told 10 years ago both shoulders are essentially worn out but I can still lift a glass..... so I put off surgery. I can still do putt-putt. It sounds to me from your description all you need is something basic.

Me too. I have never played one single game but I have stopped at the 19th hole.

I never really understood how range numbers would help much, just hit the ball as hard as you can and hope for the best.

Never needed a range finder, but I CERTAINLY need a ball finder. 4 out of 5 hits, I have no clue where the ball went. Somebody will need to invent a good golf ball with a GPS sender in it.

Never like to play any game where I hit a ball then have to chase/find it. I prefer the games where they ball automatically comes back or someone else has to chase it!
