Good Afternoon Thread
To answer your question Dave Little Necks are small clams, one pound is about 7-10 clams. People steam them, or grille them and have them with lemon or butter. In a lot of areas were I grew up in R.I. and Mass you can pull them right out of the sand. My Dad used to work in a town right near Lainey and a guy he knew there used to give us a bunch every once in awhile. I used to boil/steam them and then have them with butter like you do with lobster. I think some people may eat them raw but I never did.

On May 27, 1986 — ” “It’s the spookiest thing I’ve ever seen since Opening Day for ‘The Can’ in 1981. Hey, when you build a building on the ocean, what do you expect? You expect fog. They should blame themselves for building it on the ocean.” – Oil Can Boyd, after a game at Cleveland Stadium, located on the shore of Lake Erie, is postponed due to fog.The Red Sox are credited with a 2-0 victory when the game cannot be continued due to the dense fog that rolls into Cleveland Stadium. The postponed contest, which ends with the Tribe having baserunners on first and second with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, prompts Boston’s right-hander Oil Can Boyd to infamously blame the lack of visibility on the ballpark’s proximity to the ocean, not nearby Lake Erie.

Hope you are able to venture out soon.
