The Great Cape Escape UPDATE
Due to popular demand and a few volunteers who said they would help out after they had too many drinks at Spring Fling I'm starting this thread to gauge interst in a summer meet on Cape Cod. In order for us to plan this event we need to know how many are interested. So if you think you would like to spend a weekend on the cape in July or August or maybe even early September, please let me know here and give me an idea of dates that would be bad for you.
August 3-5 or 17-19
UPDATE. Due to hotel requirements and availability we need to pick one of the two weekends above AND then make reservations this week. If we cannot make a decision that quickly then this meet will not happen this year.

Oooohhh...this sounds like a really great idea. Not sure if we can make it, depending on several things (mainly the +1's kids vacation with him at some point), but we will certainly try. I could maybe go by myself if he can't make it.
Is there a way to get out to the Cape from Logan without driving myself (other than a huge cab fare)?

This would be somewhere close to my house in East Falmouth. Before I start calling hotels, I want to get an idea how many folks would be interested. There is a Bus from Logan to Falmouth. I think it stops in Falmouth Center. It is run by Peter Pan bus lines.

I have no minimum number in mind for this meet. If only four or five couples want to attend, that is fine. If 20 couples want to attend that is fine too, but the conversation with a hotel will be a bit different depending on the numbers. I will call a couple of nearby hotels that are on the water once I have a rough idea of the head count. Here are links.

There is no itinierary yet, but some event ideas include:
1. A light house drive.
2. Ferry trip to Martha's Vineyard.
3. Drive to Toad Hall car collection or the Sandwich car collection.
4. Bay cruise on Legal Bill's boat.
5. A trip to Washburn Island for relaxation on the beach. (requires the physical ability to get into and out of a boat onto a sandy beach. I make it as easy as possible, but you are going to get your feet wet and someone needs to be in good enough shape to jump to shore.)
6. Legal Bill's fish grill lunch and or dinner.
7. Trip to Wood's Hole for lunch or dinner.
