Default Greetings From Fl

I finally made it! We had a fairly uneventful trip, and we're finally here at our new house. The first thing that I did when I got here was to get my car out of storage and take it for a drive. Yesterday, instead of unpacking and doing the things that I should have been doing, I got the S-Pods installed. Today I may install the OEM front lip since I'm finding that I can live out of boxes for quite a long time.

So, what have I missed????

Glad you made it safely, Dean. I like where your priorities lie(S first, boxes second). You missed us having withdrawal symptoms while the site was down but some of us actually got other things done. I think we're a bunch of addicts but of the good variety.

So now, we'll be waiting on a report on the change of climate for the car, the bugs on the car, driving top down in all that sun and heat, etc. when/if you find time to post. Enjoy your new life. Who knows, we may plan a vacation meet down there one of these days. What's that, about 10-12 hours?

Welcome to Florida. Daytona Beach area here. There are 3 threads for the state, but we are all close. Hope to meet you some time soon. Please stop in and visit the Florida Threads. Also, we are having a get together on Friday, July 23rd. We have a Supermeet in April in the Orlando area. Also in the planning stages for the Dragon Run in September.

Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh! I can't take all this pressure! I had forgotten about the trivia thread. My brain hurts and I'm so tired that I can barely remember my own name these days, nevermind trying to come up with trivia questions or answers.

Granny, there was no change of climate really. This climate isn't all that different from that of the Houston area. Some of the biggest differences here are all the hills, trees, lakes, and winding roads. Whereas, the area where I lived in TX was relatively tree-less, long straight roads, no lakes, and so flat that it's a wonder that there's friction over there.
From MD, it should take you ~10 hrs. Come on down! I'll save a poolside chaise for you.

I haven't installed the S-Pods completely yet. I have the speakers installed and I've run the wires to the back of the HU, but I haven't hooked up the speaker wires to the OEM four-wire plug yet. I'm reluctant to cut the plug off and splice the wires together (this is coming from a guy who has raped and pillaged more Jeeps than I can count ), and I'm trying to find a plug for the speaker wires that will mate to the OEM plug. Any ideas, or am I stuck with a cut and splice connection?
