Default Grumpy? Maybe you're more highly evolved

Here's an interesting little tidbit of info from a Harvard study. Apparently those among us who are "short-fused" may be more highly evolved than those among us who wander through life with a big smile on their faces and a glazed look in the eyes.

I hope the tax payers are not paying for that research - what a waste!

Did we really need to give grumpy people an excuse?

Are you effing calling me grumpy you god forsaken....... Oh wait please pardon my highly matured brain, sometimes it nearly gets the best of me...

I would have loved to see your face when you read that

Just FYI it was a total joke, just like this research. I can see the correlation though I see that people who have short fuses are those of us who see things that should be common sense and get irritated about things that may not follow what we consider the norm.

On the other hand wouldn't it be safe to speculate that people who can control their short fuses are more highly evolved or whatever because they could identify their issues and let them go if they do not rate high on their importance scale?

^^ These brains are like lawnmowers. Lawnmowers may have evolved to a higher level, but they still only cut the grass.

^^ I personally feel that "grumpy" is one of those things that is totally relative. I do not consider people to be grumpy when they are just stating facts, dealing with business issues, etc., but I've discovered that many people consider grumpy to mean anyone who isn't totally capable of receiving bad news such as huge costs to repair something, a gigantic pricetag on something that is unreasonable, etc. without even batting an eyelash. If you're bold enough to question such things, you're considered a grumpy person. It may surprise you to know that I have often been considered grumpy, but I do not take the unreasonable separation of myself and my money without some amount of grumbling. I will not allow anyone to take food off my plate without grumbling either.

^^ But unlike me, you never look or act grumpy, Val.
