Default Guy Talk: Underwear

I'll admit to being fairly cheap and boring in some regards.
underwear are typically purchased in a six pack for ten maybe 15 bucks.
I was on REI's website and they have patagonia underwear for close to $30 bucks a shot.
I hear adds for others that i think are in the same range.
and then there is one of my favorites...

has anybody ever bought these things?

They run great ads during the hockey games all the time. I bought a fall jacket from them that my son wanted. He can buy his own underwear.

There's a Duluth store I've been in a few times in Thornton, CO and I always see those underwear there. They make me smile.

I've moved up from the 5 or 6 packs of Hanes boxers at Kroger to a similar pack of Fruit of the Loom boxers at Target (Tarzhey). Now I get fancy prints like pinstripes, sharks, etc. All at pretty much the same price.

Jockey here. We have an outlet nearby. Like the microfiber material. Family jewels like them too. Dry with no bunching.

Was a Hanes Tightey Whitey guy for many, many years. About 3 years ago there were some Hanes X-Temp performance boxer briefs on one of Amazon's daily sales. I bought two packs and really liked them. Went to buy more and found out why they were on sale, end of product line. Anyway, some time later it was time to plus up the underwear stash, and I bit the bullet and bought a couple of three packs of X-Officio Performance boxer briefs. The three packs bring the price down to about $12/pair and that is as much as I'm gonna spend on skivvies.

I like these a lot. They keep everything where it's supposed to go without being too constructing/tight. They have not shown the usual stretching/sagging that the Hanes did after more that a couple of washes.

For $30/pair, underwear is going to have to provide for some serious "benefits" to justify that cost!

Thanks for the reminder. Just ordered a six-pack if Fruit of the Loom boxers with cloth covered comfort waste band. Not a fan of elastic against my skin. Its why I don't hold up my socks with garters, even on formal occasions. (Talk about old school.)
