Happy Thanksgiving.

[font="'Comic Sans MS"]I love Thanksgiving. It is perhaps my favorite holiday, as it is a truly American Holiday that transcends religions, etc. In today's politically correct world, one can wish people a Happy Thanksgiving without the worry of offending anyone that is in the U.S. If they are offended, they can go to Hell as far as I am concerned. Enjoy the turkey, everybody
Yes! I hope everyone reading this has a happy Thanksgiving. This year is a very special one for me.
For the past 7 years, after my divorce in 2007, I have not had a Thanksgiving with any family. My ex husband was with our kids and I was not invited by him to join them as our family tradition was always with him smoking a turkey that day. Anyway, this year he invited me to join in. I have visited at my daughter's house and my ex and his honey are staying there, while I'm in a nearby hotel, in Sacramento. My son and his fiance came by today. It's been wonderful. I am thankful for this time with my kids and my ex and his honey. It's all good.
It's about time.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Emil, and everyone else.
Glad you have finally been able to celebrate it with family, Patty. Seven years is a long time, but maybe from now on things will be different.
The holidays can be a loaded time for family relationships, but it's worth it in the long run to try to get along.
