Wow, 3 months! I'm glad you're back home and getting healthier every day, John.

Good luck to you ... coming back to your ole self will be slow but make little goals for yourself every day. Baby steps. And do your exercises! They do help a lot!

Some of you may remember that I went through the same thing after an operation about 2 years ago. Besides e-coli I also had MRSA,C-diff,sepcis, pneumonia and congestive heart failure. It took me a year and a half before I could walk independently again. I am still not as good as I was, my blood is not quite normal and I get fatigued easily.

I thought of you, Herman, when I read John's post.

Same here. I'm so glad you have recovered as well as you have, Herman. Hope John's progressing well too.

I have great sympathy for you. Right now I predict that I will be able to go back to work in March.

I walked unaided for the first time in 3 months today. It was a huge moment for me emotionally. I'll be moving from the walker to a cane in the next week or so. The therapists don't want me walking unaided outside of therapy sessions right now.

I also got approval to start driving again. I can't get in the S and if I do I can't get out.
