I was reading the paper today about his resignation from the Nats, but there was little info other than Jason Werth talking up it's not an issue.

 

Yeah, bummer...it seems there was a problem since last Oct. He felt disrespected. He had asked for a contract a couple of times, and it wasn't happening. He was considered a short-term manager. Maybe he thought they would change their minds? They didn't and he said he would resign unless it was resolved by the end of the home game here the other day. It wasn't, so he walked. Lots of peeps were upset with him that he didn't wait until the end of the season, but I can understand his frustration. Anyhoo, the game in Chicago last night with our interim manager was insane!! The interim guy got so upset over a reversed call at first (tag out) that he was lobbing f-bombs all over the place and got thrown out, along with one of the players. The game proceeded to go back and forth from there for 14 innings, until the Nats finally won 9-5.

 

I see Davey Johnson will be the new manager. Good choice.
