I just went to my 50th reunion a few weeks ago, had a great time. Our class had 67 students, and about half of the living ones showed up. Lots of time to talk and reacquaint with everyone. We are discussing another one in five years. This was my fourth one attended, but the last one was 20 years ago.

No changes, it would not be a year for a reunion. My sister is attending her 45th, the attendance was low, so they invited members from other classes. We went to a small school so we often knew the students from the other grades. I passed on attending,

If he believed in an afterlife, he would be hysterical.

Ah, the memories. Looking back on friends we haven't seen in many years.

Oh, I'm not referring to high school reunions.I'm talking about reading this thread. Dean's thoughts on the subject (quoted by Ray, above) made me .

I am going to my 50th in July. Missed a few and didn't really miss the experience at all, after attending my 10th which was duller than dishwater. Going back to visit the beautiful Finger Lakes, some favorite cousins, and a winery or two more than to hook up with old friends. Everybody I ran with at Penn Yan Academy* feels pretty much the same way as David when it comes to reunions so seeing any of them would just be gravy.

*Not that kind of academy. Just the name of the regular old public high school I went to.

I picked about 30 people to contact. Not having much luck - old phone numbers, etc. Waiting on some call backs and responses to emails. One of them died in 2012 so our total of deceased classmates is 30 that we know of. But think I will get a few and the turnout should be pretty good.
