Hilarious eSatire - Here Comes Another Bubble
We used to live in Palo Alto. Steve Jobs would wash his Mercedes at the car wash on Saturday mornings. It's a weird place. I still have many friends there, some are in the technology industry and some have even made millions (and millions) of dollars, but most have struggled from startup to startup and then realize they are 50 and have no savings and no retirement.
Back in the 90's even the guy working at the service station was writing a business plan and going for venture capital. My neighbor worked for Apple, and after being laid off for the third time decided that he needed a job that wasn't quite so volatile.
When we moved from Palo Alto to Scottsdale, I thought I would really miss living there, but now I go back and after three days I have to get out.
