That is interesting if it helps to rebuild. I have had good results with straight glucosamine sulphate , about 750-900 mg per day is enough for me to notice a difference from when I take it and when I have stopped taking it. I am back to using it again. I have tried it with the condroitin mixture but I have found straight glucosamie sulphate works well

Paxil. Anybody on Paxil? I take citalopram (Celexa).Paroxetine, sold under the brand names Paxil and Seroxat among others, is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class.[5] It is used to treat major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.[5] It has also been used in the treatment of premature ejaculation and hot flashes due to menopause.[5][6] It is taken by mouth.[5]

Common side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, sweating, trouble sleeping, and sexual dysfunction.[5] Serious side effects may include suicidal thoughts in those under the age of 25, serotonin syndrome, and mania.[5] While the rate of side effects appears similar compared to other SSRIs and SNRIs, antidepressant discontinuation syndromes may occur more often.[7][8] Use in pregnancy is not recommended, while use during breastfeeding is relatively safe.[9] It is believed to work by blocking the re-uptake of the chemical serotonin by neurons in the brain.[5]

That looks interesting too, I like the large dosage so you can take less pills. Nice size bottle too I can feel a cushiony feeling in my knees when I am on glucosamine, I like it. I think it is also an anti-oxidant or anti-inflamatory if remember correctly

Is Patty’s dosage larger? Hers is 1500 mg glucosamine HCl in 2 tablets.

zeroptzero takes 750 mg glucosamine sulfate. Is that in 1 tablet?

So, are they really the same dosage per tablet?

However, in an article on the nih website, I found this:

Glucosamine sulfate requires compound stabilizers in the form of salts and has 74% purity. Glucosamine HCl lacks the sulfate group and has 99% purity. Therefore, glucosamine HCl in a dosage of 1,500 mg equals a dosage of 2,608 mg of glucosamine sulfate (Owens et al 2004).

Probably getting too technical and probably off-topic from boltonblue’s article.

Sorry.

I take the same supplement as Patty's (Glu & MSM, both 1500mg) daily. Mine is a local Meijer's store brand. I only take two tablets daily. As others have mentioned I only notice is must work somewhat because I can tell the difference if I stop taking them.

Buckeye Sue, one pill of mine is 750 mg, sometimes I can find them in 900 mg or more depending on the store I visit. I know there are different mixtures and variants I don't know what works best, many have a condroitin mix which did not work as well for me, I just take straight glucosamine sulphate which has worked for me in the past.

I think after taking them for 1-2 months you may get by with a lower maintenance dose, I'm doing 750-900 mg per day depending on the size I can find, so one pill only.
