Default Holiday pics!

Due to many family obligations, we got a head start on the holiday yesterday. Here are a few pics. I should have taken more of the many family members who were here, but my house was a zoo!

The princess.

With her brother.

A business man some day. Note the cell phone in each hand.

Opening the presents. Ryan was not interested. Ally gladly opened all of his presents.

Ally took this pic of my nephew from ME. He attends Syracuse University, I hadn't seen him a year!

That's it. Let's see how you celebrate the holiday.

Nice pics, Lainey, but we don't have any small grandchildren and all our kids are grown, so no pics here. We go to Mass on Christmas Day, our daughter goes to midnight Mass on Christmas Eve with her friend, Josh. Otherwise we have a very quiet day, a nice traditional lunch or dinner on Christmas Day and that's it for us. We don't exchange gifts, etc., we just get a few books for the kids, give them a little cash gift and the grandkids get something we hope they'll like. That's all. Low key and quiet and that's the way we like it. Occasionally some of the kids that my daughter knew from grade school and high school drop in and we have cookies, egg nog, cheese and meat snacks ready in case. Last year we had an unexpected visit from one of the kids I used to take to/from school with my daughter when they were in high school. She was soooo glad to have some snacks and visit with us. When she left she hugged me and said she'd always loved my house because it always smelled so good and felt like home. Made me feel great. I hope she gets back to town this year, but she's been studying in Europe, so I sort of doubt it. It is those things that I enjoy about Christmas.

I'll probably get in trouble for posting it since Dean doesn't like his picture taken, but this is as close
to a holiday picture as we'll get. My niece's cat & doglet decided he needed some company while he's recuperating.

Nice picture, Martha. Hope Dean is feeling better.

Val, after yesterday, a quiet Christmas sounds good. My house was crazy yesterday and I was beat last night, but it is fun with the little ones around. Tonight, we had a nice quiet Christmas eve with some long time friends and we have dinner with Rick's brother and sister in law tomorrow. Both events are low key and very enjoyable.

Combined holiday/35th Anniversary cruise aboard one of these (the M.S. Fantasy, in the background)...

to Cozumel, where my +1, Sandy, posed with our guide, Hugo...

and where we drove through the jungle...

To the boat...

That took us to Passion Island...

Where Santa fixed us some lunch...

It was a great cruise (our first) with perfect weather down and there. A little cold and windy coming home but we found plenty to do inside.

Then this morning, among other nice gifts I was fortunate enough to receive these...

Piloti Spyders and a limited edition bound overview of the S2000 published by American Honda Motor Company when the car was introduced in 2000.

My older son got a Ferrari...

An F1...which he is assembling here...

The beach looks gorgeous! I keep talking about going to the Caribbean for Christmas...........some day.

Dave, Donna did a great job with the decorations. Were you drafted to assist?

Looking forward to pics of the grandkids enjoying Christmas.
