Using a Brother black and white laser printer from 2001, still ticking. Cartridges are dirt cheap too.

Hilariously, my parents are using an HP LaserJet 1000 also from about 2001 which is also going strong. There are no Windows 10 drivers for it so it's connected through a convoluted setup involving a Windows XP virtual machine.

They had an Epson multifunction inkjet for the scan/fax capabilities but that clogged up in less than a year and the scanner motors jammed up as well.

Epson made pretty good dot matrix printers.

I had a similar issue with a remastered version of Command & Conquer, a game I've always loved. My HP PC came with Windows 8 and had a free upgrade license for Windows 10. Of course I upgraded. Turns out I am still running a Windows 8 video driver for the PC's Intel on-board video controller and there is no Windows 10 driver. The game does not support Windows 8 drivers and crashes on my PC. So I run it on my laptop and switch my monitor to the laptop HDMI port. Works OK but I have to remember to hit the laptop keyboard for the game's keyboard shortcuts. Still way less expensive than a new video card for the PC.
