Hooray for Alaska
I remember seeing trucks with gun racks back when I lived in Utah. I doubt if there are any instances of road rage against a gun-totin' truck driver.
Now, Utah's not a crowded street in New York, but can a parallel be drawn?

The point is Alaskans, like many other Americans have now realized that gun control isn't the way to go. They have reversed previous decisions that attempted to take away their right to bear arms.
Hopefully this trend will continue and more and more states will remove anitgunlegislation.

Gee, that's interesting... I'm surprised we haven't debated gun control here in Vintage before. Keep it up!
Flats, if you're a nudist and you wear a hip or shoulder holster, is that considered "concealed?"

And your right I'm intentionally stirring the pot, Vintage has been a little too quiet lately. The problem is the other side is finally starting to realize they've lost and then lost some more. From gun control to Iraq to the economy and so on and so on they're watching their base change and swing more and more to the right. They've finally realized their base is no longer in control of the electorate.
There always needs to be two sides. It just seems that the other seems to be caving and resigned to their lot. I'm just trying to give vintage debate a shot in the arm. What better way to put in a booster shot than gun control. I wonder if anyone will step up to the plate so to speak.

I'm not sure that gun control works. Anyone who wants a gun can certainly get one. Someone who wants a gun to commit a crime isn't going to worry about whether having the gun is legal or not except that the penalties for commiting a crime with a gun are huge. The thing that worries me is the same people who can't drive at all yet are licensed to drive can now pack heat as well. No reason to think they would be any more adept at shooting. So in Florida, someone could be driving down the road, talking on the cell phone, drinking coffee and steering with their knees. The question is; do you put down the coffee or the phone to be able to shoot at someone on the sidewalk that you perceive as a threat?
Gee, guess where I stand on this issue
