There isn't much to tell really. I was doing my Kerouac thing and hitchhiking to CA, and one of my rides happened to drop me off in the middle of Houston. Shortly thereafter a cop pulled up, and not doing a good job of concealing his disdain for my long hair and Yankee ways, asked me for identification and where I was from. I handed him my I.D. and politely told him that I was from Maine. He replied, "Well, you know we've got a lot of you Maine boys rotting in our jails down here". To which I replied, "We've got a lot of you Texas boys in our jails too, but we give them enemas and send them home in a shoebox"... I got five days for "walking on a limited access highway".

I also noticed a really small number (like 4) of S2000's on the roads between Spring Hill and Tampa (making that round trip daily for 6 days). Must be kinda boring after Texas.
