Default how far have you gone for a car?

this collective of individuals can easily be described are car folks.
As car folk we frequently tend to look for vehicles off of the beaten path.
Yesterday while driving 144 miles and 2.5 hours each way I got thinking about how far is the longest I've gone for a car.
For me it was about 250 miles to buy a car that was in New jersey.
although I did buy a car in Arizona and have it shipped. although I didn't physically touch it until it arrived here.
So what's the farthest you've gone?

BTW travelling for car parts counts too.

The one that broke my heart was the one I drove the farthest for. It was in Bensalem Pennsylvania which was about a five plus hour each way drive for me. I did it round trip on a Saturday.

Not all that far. 3.5 hours to Columbus, Ohio to test drive an Audi. I liked it and the dealer delivered to my house.

When one of you (Rick) work's for a car dealership, you don't drive far....We have driven distance for three cars, the S2000 about 18 miles, the first P car about 48 miles, and the second P car about 80 miles.

Jerry, once again I have lost track of what's in your fleet. Which Mercedes is going away and what is now coming to live with you?

Two hours one way to buy my S2000, I don't tend to search much beyond that distance.

My trip is not great. I went from my home to Madison, WI, about 120 miles, in 2015 to purchase the only new Crosstour with a K24 motor that was available in the Midwest. I had to settle for the EX trim which has not been the great disappointment that I thought I would have. It's turned out to be the best Touring car that I've ever owned after a couple of suspension tweeks. I can drive 10 hours straight and still be pretty refreshed.

I only had to drive a couple of hours each way to my friends place to pick up the NSX. The hard part was waiting from Nov. when we made the deal, till spring and no salt on the roads to get it home. Pretty sure that was the longest winter of my life!

Never drove anywhere to pick up a vehicle. All vehicle purchases were local.
