He looked good for 71, he did well to get that far given the years of steroids many of those wrestlers were exposed to, so many of them died from massive heart attacks.
I shook his hand at a wrestling event in my home town about 30 years ago, it was a small venue back then. I was about 3 feet from him as he entered the arena, he was fighting the Iron Sheik that night, all the big names were there that night, he teamed up with Sargent Slaughter that night too in a tag-team event.

I saw him in person for the first time back in the late 90s at Disney World with his family. Good lord he was a giant! I just waved and he waved back. Not much of an interaction but I was not going to bother him with his family.
