Default Hurricane Irene

Wishing good luck to those in the path of what looks to be a nasty storm - Val and Carmen (others?) appear to be about the bullseye. she goes another way, although that would mean other Vintage buddies could suffer. The +1 and his son drive to DC from Philly Sat AM, which should be OK. The son and my sis are due to fly out of DC on Sun. That could be problematic.

we were in the bulls eye for awhile. I expect we'll see the edges go by us on Thursday. We're in the planning stages of a hurricane bbq party to enjoy the breeze and celebrate it's passing. I think fishing is going to be very good around here as it goes by.

I hope it keeps turning East and misses everybody.

The projected track keeps getting a little further east with every update. The 11:00 AM update shows it going inland around Morehead City, NC, with a possibility of passing over us here in Delaware still as a Cat. 1/2 storm on Sunday. So Deb, I think there may be some travel delays here on the mid-Atlantic! But the shift to the east is good news for Val.

A little more of a shift and it might just miss us.

It is not looking good for New England. I'll be securing property at the Cape on Saturday.

Nah, it's perfect. The quake shakes things down and settles them in, so they won't blow around so much in the storm.

Hang in there...

I have to see if the NWS issued the hurricane watch or warning for the Cape.
