I did it! I bought a car off e-bay.

As 10-yr old kids, we would get these cheap, snap-together model cars kits (with our paper route $$). After building them, we would squirt some charcoal lighter fluid on the driveway and start a fire. We would roll the cars back and forth through the fire until the plastic started to get soft. Then (with mom's oven mitts) we would crunch the cars into each other like they were in a collision. The hot plastic would wrinkle up like metal, and the soot from the fire added to the realism. My friend would take Polaroid photos of the "wrecks," and we would trick our friends into thinking we witnessed a car wreck. Well...it was fun at the time.

I think there are "some" members on here with serious OCD issues!

What years? I had to run against them back when they were new. Every time I got my old Bugeye to the point that I was competative, Fiat would improve the car, everyone would run out and buy the newest version, and I had to start all over. S2ki New England member, Grove, used to run against me in X1-9s. I think I beat him once or twoce before he upgraded to a new 1500 X-19.Originally Posted by Conedodger,Jan 14 2010, 05:47 PM

1987 was way after my time. I don't think they even called them Fiats in '87, did they? The '81 would have fit with my last full year. I went to the regionals and came in 4th. I never went to the Nationals, although I did qualify.
