Default Ipods & cats

Anyone have a problem with their cats wanting to eat their Ipod ear bud wire? I will be laying down relaxing listening to my Ipod and if either of my cats comes near me they immediately go after the white cord. It ends up yanking the ear buds right out of my ears!

Buy a spray bottle. Spritz them with water once and they'll never go near it again. (just keep the bottle around so they can see it)

what are you listening too? maybe the cat hears a frequency you cannot and it is irritating to the cats ears.

Wife's cats are the main reason that I use a cordless mouse.

That's funny. I keep my earbuds in a case since I only use them at the gym. I'm going to go get them out and see what, if anything, my cats do.

Yup, cats do that. Dogs prefer cell phones, garage door openers, and electonics controllers. Eating the batteries can/will kill them. Also, eating strings, threads, fine wires is also one of the most dire and often fatal non-disease presentations Vets see with cat emergencies, after gun shots and poisonings. Ditto on the water spray technique.
Our umbrella cockatoo one ate through an extension cord. He was saved by the wooden perch; got his tongue burned and a blackened face. They do stuff like that.

Every try to use dental floss with a cat around? That can be a challenge too.

My cats didn't care about the earbuds alone, so I put them on the iPod and played Nickelback for them. Still, no reaction. I knew Nickelback was good music!
